What would be the best way to access my hard drive which is set-up as NAS (connected on Fritzbox via USB) from outside the home network? I have currently set-up an universal-portmapper which allows me to connect to my Fritzbox from outside (6490 Cable, UM) and I can also access the NAS files, but only over the Fritzbox user interface. I'd like to avoid that and bind my NAS as a network drive, note: this network drive has to be reachable from outside home network.
Adding "<alias>.feste-ip.net:<port>/nas" doesn't work (when your enter it in browser, the fritzbox NAS interface opens)
download/file.php?mode=view&id=232
I've also tried "checking" the "connect using different credentials" checkbox & entered my Fritzbox user credentials, but that also didn't work.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Reaching Fritzbox NAS as network drive from outside
Hi,
The connection is for the Webinterface only.
You tried to map it as a samba share which won't work.
You can try to use a http's proxy from us an a webdav client on your system.
Untested but you can give it a try.
/Greetings René
